A great place to pause and admire the views; the Firth of Forth with the Bass Rock, Quarrel Sands in the bay below and Tantallon Castle in the distance. Often into the wind this is one of the strongest par 4s on the course, the hole is a slight dog-leg left with a fairway sloping down towards the sea. A drive on the marker post or slightly left is best. Holding the two-tier green is difficult and a par here is very acceptable.
